Our journey begins each summer as the school year
comes to an end. Our campers from Nassau County will embark on the experience of a
lifetime as they find them selves facing new and exhilarating experiences every
day. Never in the same place twice, our campers are introduced to a
new world of stimulating adventures with a summer family that they will cherish for
years to come.
During weeks 1,3 5,and 7 our campers are picked-up at
home every morning and are off to a day of laughs, thrills and recollections. As your
child rushes out of the house to meet his or her “bus mates” the ride is a
time for anticipation, bonding, and sharing... Since each day is unique, the counselors
discuss the activity of the day in advance so that the campers are familiar with plans
for the destination. This helps us to move quickly through ticketing, buddying up, etc. so
we can quickly begin with the making of memories.
Although our campers are always in groups with
counselors, they are not `locked' into the same group of kids, and the same
counselors day after day. We at Maximum Teen Travel Camp are in the unique position
to allow our campers to decide where and with whom THEY wish to spend their
day. For example, in amusement parks groups are split up based upon
ride interest. There are groups who want to go on every ride in the park, and groups
for roller coasters only. Groups who like rides that spin, and groups for lower level
rides and arcades. No matter what interest your child has, this
philosophy allows your child to get the most out of his or her day doing exactly what HE
or SHE wants to do. Of course, it’s always our pleasure to give our campers
that extra little “push”, without being too “pushy”, needed to
experience a new thrill. The constant change of counselors and
campers allows our community to forge a family-style bond that cannot be replicated or
forgotten.
During Weeks 2, 4, 6 and 8, our campers are
dropped off at designated area where they will board luxurious motor coach busses
and begin an overnight extravaganza that lasts for 3 or 5 days (depending upon the
week). On these trips our family bond is further solidified as we spend every waking
moment together talking, laughing and anticipating the day that lies ahead…We
know what you are thinking…and we are sorry to say that our program is for kids
only…parents are not allowed…LOL!
We feel that our program is as unique as it is exciting
allowing our campers and counselors to become a whole unit instead of a series of
groups. This unique plan is proven successful and is shown in the smiling and
harmonious faces of our campers and staff who return to us year after year…
