If you haven't been to South Lake Tahoe recently, you're in for a
surprise. Gone are the old motels and t-shirt shops, replaced by a vibrant
village, up-scale lodging and exquisite restaurants. Heavenly has turned
this quirky ski town into a double-black-diamond destination. Rising
3,000 feet above famous Lake Tahoe, few mountain resorts can compete
with Heavenly's scenic beauty and exhilarating on-mountain experience.
Heavenly is truly one of the most unique ski destinations in the world.
The destination offers more to do both on and off the mountain than
there are hours in the day. With the perfect blend of sunny California
days and wild Nevada nights, they're redefining the term "wildlife".

MOUNTAINS INFORMATION
Heavenly
Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe
is one of the highest ranked ski resorts, and it is no question
why this Lake Tahoe resort is MASSIVE. With 4,800 acres, they are one
of North America's largest mountains. At over 10,000 feet, they
are Tahoe's highest. Their 3,500 foot vertical unmatched on the West
Coast. The average annual snowfall is a formidable 360 inches. Just
in case that's not enough for you, they have one of
the largest snowmaking systems on the continent at the ready, covering
70% of the mountain. Terrain? They have it all, from breezy blue squares
to hair-raising black diamonds. There's no better tree
Skiing on earth. Experts will have a field day at Mott and Killebrew
canyons. This is what other mountains want to be when they grow up.
This is Heavenly.
Kirkwood
Lake Tahoe Ski Resort is about 45 minutes away from South
Lake Tahoe. Driven through the scenic Hope Valley, the travel seems
to take you to some far off unknown skiing paradise. Kirkwood is best
known for the quality and quantity of snow it receives each year. Kirkwood
has been home of North
America's deepest snow for 6 of the past 8 years! The mountain has plenty
of wide-open bowls, cornice- lined chutes and it is one of the few resorts
in Tahoe where you can find uncrowded slopes on weekends and holidays.
Kirkwood is a full-service destination resort offering 2,300 acres of
downhill skiing and
Boarding and 80 kilometers of cross-country skiing.
Northstar
at Tahoe offers some of the most natural trail cut skiing
that is available on all levels in Tahoe. Those who go in search of
fine views and majestic paths or tree skiing will find their place on
Lookout Mountain, a place where the views rival that of anywhere in
the region. The slopes on the backside have trees so widely separated
you feel that it was designed that way.
