Kirkwood Lake Tahoe Ski Resort is about 45 minutes
away from South Lake Tahoe, driven through the scenic Hope Valley, yet
the travel seems to take you to some far off unknown skiing paradise.
Kirkwood is best known for the quality and quantity of snow it receives
each year. Kirkwood has been home of North America's deepest snow for
6 of the past 8 years! The mountain has plenty of wide-open bowls, cornice-lined
chutes and it is one of the few resorts in
Northstar at Tahoe offers some of the most natural
trail cut skiing that is available on any level in Tahoe. Those who
go in search of fine views and majestic paths or tree skiing will find
their place on Lookout Mountain, a place where the views rival that
